Gujiya is a traditional Indian sweet. It is also known as "Karanji" in Maharashtra and "Ghughra" in Gujarat. It is usually prepared on special occasions like Diwali and Holi.

Its crispy exterior and rich filling give it a delightful taste. Gujiya's outer layer is usually made from maida, and the filling is made from khoya with various nuts and spices.

Generally, Gujiya made with using maida and lot of sugar that’s increase your blood sugar level and also not a healthy choice of yours.

Gujiya Recipe Ingredients

  • 70g Diabexy Coconut Barfi – This coconut barfi is made with coconut, Cow milk whey protein, Skimmed Milk Powder, Sucralose & more ingredients. It has a glycemic load of 10 per 100g, which is very low and good for health.
  • 60g Diabexy Atta - Diabexy atta is made using low EGL ingredients and the EGL value is 7 instead of other types of atta with EGL values between 50 to 60. It is also made from nuts and seeds that gives it high protein & fiber content.
  • 50g Diabexy Sugar – This sugar is a fiber that is sweet and being a fiber, it doesn’t affect blood sugar levels. Diabexy sugar contains fructooligosaccharide which has very low EGL ingredients.
  • 15g Pista – It is a nutritious and delicious snack. It has healthy fats, protein, and fiber which can help in maintaining a healthy weight & digestive health.
  • 15g Almond – Almond is a highly nutritious nut. It is rich in healthy fat, fiber, and protein which can help lower cholesterol levels, reduce hunger, and many more benefits.

  • 15g Chironji – It is a highly nutritious nut commonly used in Indian cuisine. It is rich in protein, healthy fats, and vitamins.
  • 100g Desi ghee - It enhances the flavor and aroma of the dish. It contains healthy fats, vitamins, and antioxidants.

How to make Gujiya Sweet

  • First, Take 70g of Diabexy Coconut ( 7-8 Pcs) in a bowl and add 15g of Pistachios, 15g of Chironji, 15g of Almond and 10g of Elaichi.
  • Mix all the ingredients properly.
  • Add 50g Diabexy sugar to Boiling water.
  • Mix it well to prepare a sugar syrup.
  • Take 60g Diabexy Atta in a bowl and add the sugar syrup.
  • Then make a dough and spread ½ teaspoon ghee and roll it into a round shape.
  • Place the rolled-out dough in the gujiya maker then add our stuffing into it.
  • Shape it into gujiyas.
  • Take 100g Desi ghee in a pan and deep fry Gujiya in Desi Ghee.
  • Fry gujiyas until they are golden brown on both sides.
  • Your Tasty, crispy gujiyas is ready.

Each gujiya has an EGL value of 1.7, which is very low compared to other gujiyas. These gujiyas are also good for your health, allowing you to enjoy the same taste as regular gujiyas.
